Israel's been busy in the lab, and wrote this message:
Since I started working on making products that are MCS friendly, I have been amazed at how many people have fragrance allergies, fragrance intolerances, multiple chemical sensitivities, rashes, hives, and other symptoms related to MCS or fragrance issues.
A few days ago, while watching a local public television channel, they showed a young lady that attends college that has problems with fragrances. Although I didn't see the complete program, I did see that she must wear protective masks in class so she can breathe. With all the perfumes, colognes, deodorant, antiperspirants, fabric softener, and other fragrance-filled products she must come prepared for whatever may happen. She is a singer and her band members are very thoughtful and conscious of her problem and wear only unscented deodorants and antiperspirants and other fragrance free items so that she can go without her mask while practicing and performing. She does a good job of coping with a big problem.
Today, I met a man whose wife has fragrance allergies or intolerances. He was telling us that she had to leave church early several weeks ago because she started getting hives on arms and hands. Her hands started to swell so badly that she decided she needed to leave. He said that they have always had to carry their own soap, towels, bed sheet, blankets, and pillows.
I've heard of brother or sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbors and friends that have one Multiple Chemical Sensitivities (MCS), fragrance allergies, fragrance intolerances, or other chemical intolerances that they have to deal with day in and day out.
It helps remind me of our purpose to create exceptional products that will help make life just a little easier with those that deal with these issues.
